NEET 2018 Application Form Correction is over now. CBSE opened NEET 2018 candidate login for form correction, from March 15, 2018, to March 17, 2018. Candidates who hade unknowingly made any mistake in application form of NEET 2018 could make corrections in it. Application form correction of NEET 2018 began on March 15, 2018, at 10 AM. It got over on March 17, 2018, at 11:50 PM. In this duration, candidates could edit identification identity, date of birth, gender, state code of eligibility, category, disability status, medium of exam, exam centre, qualifying exam code, percentage marks obtained in class 12, father’s name, mother’s name. It is very important to make sure that ultimately everything is correct in NEET 2018 application form. Those who have correct details in form can then download admit card of NEET 2018 as per schedule.

Now that form correction is over, what to do if there is still mistake in NEET 2018 application form?

How To Make Corrections in the NEET 2018 Application Form?

The candidates are allowed to make changes in the details in the application only as per the schedule given below. To edit the data, follow the instructions given below.

  1. Click on the link which is given on this page.
  2. Enter your Registration Number and Password to login.
  3. Click on the Edit button to modify/ change/ edit information in the application form.

Before that your proceed to check the procedure for application form correction, take a look at the information which you can edit and information which you are not allowed to edit:

Identification identity Such candidates who filled NEET application with IDs other than Aadhaar, that is, they used passport, ration card, bank account number, and Aadhaar enrolment number, can add their Aadhaar number or the Aadhaar enrolment number in the application form of NEET 2018. Those who have either already filled form with Aadhaar card or have nationality as foreigner, OCI, PIO, NRI.
Date of birth Such candidates who filled NEET application with IDs other than Aadhaar, can correct their date of birth. Those who have either already filled form with Aadhaar card cannot edit DOB because their date already matches with aadhaar card details.
Gender Such candidates who filled NEET application with IDs other than Aadhaar, can correct their gender. Those who have either already filled form with Aadhaar card cannot edit DOB because their date already matches with aadhaar card details.

Regarding State code of eligibility correction in NEET 2018 Form

Those who belong to Jammu and Kashmir can also change status of self-declaration.

Those who belong to Assam, Meghalaya, JnK can change state of eligibility to state other than these 3 states only if theu have obtained their aadhaar number or aadhaar enrolment number as the exemption for aadhaar is only for these 3 states.

State specific rules like permissible identity types, self-declaration, question paper language, centre choice will depend on state of eligibility in NEET 2018. So candidates will have to fill these fields wisely again.

Regarding Category correction in NEET 2018 Form

Please note that if changed category requires higher fee then you have to pay remaining fee also. Payment of fee will be online.

Regarding Disability status correction in NEET 2018 Form

Please note that if you change language to a regional language then you may need to change centre also.

Q. What should I do if I write the incorrect examination code in the NEET for 2018?

A. You can edit the examination code when form correction is available.

Q. Is it necessary to upload the photo with name and date written at its bottom? I have uploaded one without name and date and it has been uploaded successfully. So, it is fine or should I change it?

A. In the FAQ sections of CBSE, number 12, it has been specified that such Photographs will be accepted by the CBSE, if otherwise found correct.

Q. What are the possible reasons for rejection of NEET 2018 Application Form?

A. The possible reasons because of which your application form might get rejected are listed below:

  • Incomplete Application Form
  • Applications not complying with the specification given for uploading scanned image of Photo and Siganture or without clear photographs are liable to be rejected.
  • De-shaped or seems to be manipulated or digitally edited images, the form of such candidate will be rejected
  • Signature done in Capital Letter are not acceptable

Q. What can I do if I have filled out the wrong qualification code in the NEET 2018 form? If it cannot be rectified, will it be problematic in the admission process?

A. Only the detail given in the article above cannot be rectified. You can change the qualification code once the window for application form correction is available.
